Kurzfassung:
A small Italian company based in Milan specialized in Rad Hard memories and measuring devices has developed an innovative contactless laser instrument for measuring and monitoring vibrations. This instrument uses a self mixing technology, which allows to create small and simple devices. Self mixing technology can be used in many areas: chemistry, mechanical, physical, medical, occupational safety. Partners are searched for technical cooperation.

Beschreibung:
The company has developed and industrialized an innovative laser vibrometer for contact-less vibration measuring, using the self-mixing technology. The new self-mixing scheme is based on the coherent interference of the backscattered light directly into the laser diode cavity, and it needs only a reduced set of optics and a single photo detector. The Self Mixing vibrometer can be used to measure vibration or displacement on all rough and diffusive surfaces (e.g.: unfinished metal, plastic, rubber, paper, fabric, etc.) Great versatility allowed by the possibility of having up to 8 optical heads (i.e., up to 8 independent optical channels) in a single instrument.
